I've spent the last 8 years cultivating a wide product-focused skill set that enables me to efficiently collaborate with creative, business, and engineering teams.
Currently based in Boulder, CO but I collaborate with a variety of clients remotely. Get in touch at email@example.com
My skills lie primarily in the realm of product design and UI/UX. However, I also have significant experience in SEO, email marketing, copywriting, social media, and more. I think these skills have stemmed from a natural urge to understand how *all* the pieces fit together, as well as a scrappy startup mentality.
My background (and degree) is in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in HCI. I started my career at a design agency working on complex IA and interaction design projects for companies like Royal Caribbean, Kia, GM, and more -- before shifting to the consumer startup realm.
I have a strong working knowledge of both front and back-end systems, which is helpful when communicating with engineers or acting as an intermediary between business and engineering. I'm comfortable with git and pushing production code.
A few of my favorite things: Figma, Webflow, VS Code, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Metabase, Loom, Airtable, Sendgrid, Hotjar, and probably a few more I'm forgetting.
Outside of work you'll probably find me somewhere in the mountains. I love adventure -- finding inspiration in big mountains, early mornings, and human-powered suffering.
I've been a professional photographer (on the side) for a number of years, and I've had the chance to shoot professionally for brands and destinations around the world. Here's a short video (about me) that I worked with Conde Nast Traveler on a few years ago:
A recent interview on the Adventure Bound podcast:
I write (intermittently) about travel, photography, and more in my newsletter, Here & There.
